Introduction

The Quality Enhancement Directorate of Danish University was established in 2015 (1394 AH) as the Quality Assurance Office, with the aim of improving and raising the standards of teaching and learning within the university’s organizational structure. After several years of continuous effort, in 2018 (1397 AH) the office was elevated to the status of Quality Enhancement Directorate. Since then, this directorate has been dedicated to establishing necessary standards and ensuring compliance with national and international regulations in the field of higher education.

From its inception, joint efforts and effective collaboration in the area of quality improvement were initiated. These efforts led to tangible results, and in 2019 (1398 AH), the university successfully achieved the first stage of accreditation. Currently, preparations are underway to apply for the second stage of accreditation. This achievement reflects the university’s commitment and determination toward continuous improvement in the quality of teaching and learning.

The Quality Enhancement Directorate continues its activities in accordance with existing laws, regulations, bylaws, the National Higher Education Strategy, and the Quality Assurance Bylaw. Its primary objective is to raise the quality of teaching and align the institution with national and international standards.

Thus, the directorate consistently strives to improve processes and create a conducive learning environment, thereby contributing to the enhancement of higher education quality in the country.
